Drivers Only II

Saturday was drivers only 2. It was definitely an eventful day Matt was trying out his modded steering knuckles and broke one a couple laps in but swapped in some stock ones in like 30 min. Pretty gnarly!! But then he took out his motor... sorry buddy!

Tyler blew a coupler early in the day but my dad had a rad hose big enough to fit so that was all gravy!

I got to test out the Direzzas Huy gave me and I loved them. They lasted all day and wore really evenly. They did start coming apart when I got them too hot but thats pretty normal. I definitely learned a lot by following some different people on the course.

Also got to drive Eddies Hachi and I loved it! SO FUN!!! It felt like a little go kart. I definitely have a lot of respect for hachi drivers now. It was so difficult to hold a long slide and to transition w/o a spin. I want one. ;)


After that Laura and I went to a birthday party at Vision Studios (I think thats what it was called). They had a live band and some kegs. It was pretty rad. The band played some rockabilly type music and some reggae sounding stuff.

wires galore!

Relocated my wiring harness today... what a bitch! Had to cut the harness and re-splice it into the engine bay. But now my wires won't get chewed up by my tires anymore. Also cleaned my rear seats finally.

BAFFLE!

Replaced my gas tank today since my old one had a couple baffles come loose and was messing up my fuel pump. Also my tail lights edges were fading so I painted them. Good as new!



No pics of the finished product since it was dark when I finally got done with the gas tank and put them back in.

Lazy saturday...

Laura and I decided to go check out the new superH mart today. Had some waffle house before hand.... mmmm.

Then we checked out the movie "blindness". It is definitely worth checking out if you like films showing how we would react to a devastating plague/happening.

JapanFest!

Another fun year at JapanFest at the Arena at Gwinnett center! The set up was much better this year not as crowded. They had a live band this year which was pretty sweet. The bands name was Sinatra and were rock music suprisingly and it was awesome. The guitarist was rocking some Napolean Dynamite moon shoes in purple. Lead singer did some pretty dope dancing. Got some freebies from sapporo and TV Japan. If you get a chance check it out next year!!
